Despite Nigel having spent his entire life living in Northern Ireland (and let’s be honest, that’s a looooong time) he still keeps finding new places to visit. There are times when we visit a place so beautiful that he actually feels ashamed that it took him so many years to discover it! Such is the case with our recent visit to the Walled Garden at Glenarm Castle in County Antrim. View Post
Spend two minutes with us in Glenarm, Northern Ireland and fall in love with its views, walled garden and castle! We are trying something new here with the kind of video we’re posting. Kept it short and snappy. Could you let us know if you like it?
Growing up in Northern Ireland during the troubles, tourists were as rare as long spells of unbroken sunshine. If anyone had said back in the late 1970s that Belfast would have open top sightseeing buses, then people may have called a doctor for them! It still amazes me when I’m walking along the shore of Belfast Lough close to home and a huge cruise ship glides past, usually carrying more passengers than the majority of our towns have inhabitants! To be honest, I think they must all be mad! View Post
Yesterday, we showed you some of Nigel’s photos from our Valentine’s Day mini road trip close to home. While they probably gave you a pretty good idea of how gorgeous the Antrim Coast Road is, we wanted to get as close as possible to making you feel like you were there with us. This is a video that Martha made, which we hope will have a soothing and relaxing effect on you after a stressful day at work. We hope you enjoy the scenery. Find out more about the Antrim Coast Road in yesterday’s post.
One of our favourite drives here in Northern Ireland is along the Antrim Coast Road, which runs along our East Coast and contains amazing scenery along with quaint sleepy villages and harbours along the way. This drive is recognised as one of the Worlds great scenic roads. The only problem is that the scenery is so stunning that you have to keep stopping to take photos or just to breath in the sea air so this drive might take longer than you think! View Post
