16 more Reasons you’ll regret visiting Northern Ireland

We know what you’re all wondering: “Is it safe to travel to Northern Ireland?”. Despite our last article telling you all how not to waste your time visiting, some people have clearly refused to heed our travel warning.

This reached a head recently when we were visiting Glenarm Castles Walled Garden. Nigel was queuing for some cake and coffee when he became aware that the couple ahead of him were American … when will they learn? As if that wasn’t bad enough, they then had the audacity to buy the last piece of carrot cake, which Nigel had been saving himself for all day … what the heck! We then posted an article about Northern Ireland’s dangerous climate to put people off coming, but still you guys insist on visiting.

You leave us with no other choice but to share more photos with you, which some people might find traumatic to look at. All photographs are our own and the views expressed are also our own. We have received no financial inducements from any of the places shown to highlight their awfulness but are open to offers of cake!

I have not read the first, but will soon do so. When I saw the link, I was compelled to read this, because I too, hated Northern Ireland, or as the Irish refer to it, the Irish state of Ulster. It was depressing and boring. Well done!

Thanks Roxanna. So glad we both dislike it so much 😄. So many people want to call us anything but what it’s actually called and really need to move on as it’s getting boring.

Why would anyone want to come to Bangor . The sea front is no more and is going to be destoryed more. We used to to. See across the sea . But council built two Berlin Walls you see nothing . So sad the we where not keep a seaside town with all its Maritime history. We are not a dead town. So anyone coming to visit I would stay away. I would put Bangot top of list.

The town still has plenty going for it in my opinion if not in a shopping sense. Many people now don’t remember Bangor before the Marina and they enjoy the new Pickie and the new Aurora etc. Times change and all we can do is move on.

As a child growing up in Bangor I really did not appreciate the beauty of Northern Ireland. I have lived in several countries during my life but I can honestly say Northern Ireland beats them all in beauty!

Thanks for your comment Jackie. For such a small place we certainly pack a lot of beautiful scenery into it!

What do England want with this terrible side of our Ireland. Just give it Back and we’ll say No more.
Or, we’ll make a deal and give ye back Liverpool, do We have a deal.? The Ball is on your side.

Hi Tina, so nice to hear from you. Nigel and I had just been saying how we hadn’t spoken in a while. Being a mom is wonderful. Our big boy is nearly 10 months old now and I can hardly believe it !!
